Alexander Technique is a method of movement and alignment that coach people to utilize their bodies more efficiently. It benefits individuals to improve their posture, relax muscle tension and to move about with greater ease. The correct relationship between the head, neck, and spine is important to good health.  This three-way relationship is the basis to maintaining breath, proper posture and movement.

A wrong position of the head in relation to the neck and spine, for example, can produce muscle tension and cause pain. Once a person's head, neck, and spine are placed into proper alignment, however, the rest of the body should "fall into place." Not only can muscle tension and pain be reduced, but some functions of our body, such as breathing and movement, may become easier and more natural as well.

People suffering from chronic neck and back pain, and other painful conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia have reported finding relief after learning the Alexander technique. Other conditions that can benefit from this are stress-related problems such as migraines and anxiety attacks.
