Gay Sites Online

GayWired.com
The Grand Source

By Kiki Tan

Consider this as the gay version of the online format of New York Times (nytimes.com) – full of information we need, and, perhaps more important to others, information we want.

The NEED part is satisfied by such sections as NEWS, POLITICS, HEALTH, BUSINESS, et cetera.  For a gay site, where else could you read Online Reputation Management: Burying the Digital Dirt, Making Boycotts Work for Gay Rights, and 10 Secrets to Improving Networking Skills?  Of course, there are closer looks at the stateswomanhood of Hilary Rodham Clinton, Gloria Steinam’s negative take on Sarah Palin, and Nancy Pelosi’s seeming hate of, well, women – at least of Hilary, that’s for sure.  And then, of course, there are the important  look at the complacency of gay men when it comes to HIV and/or AIDS, surviving eating disorders, and surviving undergoing cosmetic surgery.

The WANT part is easily satisfied by the handling of international eye candies (think almost naked Bryan Thomas and Ryan Reynolds), latest gossips on Britney Spears, and discussions with porn star Jake Decard on the power of the cock in reel.  And then there’s the HOTWired – the pick-up section to satisfy the biggest want of all: SEX, with ready pick-ups for everyone (though mostly gay, not L,T, Q or I).

For the attempt to comprehensively cover every aspect of gay life (from the important to the trivial), Gaywired.com is, definitely, in a league of its own.
Now, if only they can come up with something more contextually relevant to non-Americans/non-Brits/non-Europeans...  I mean, BBC.co.uk already has an Asian link, just as CNN.com and nytimes.com do, too.

Sans that, this is still a good way to get – and stay – wired, indeed.
