OLD AND NEW. London's architectural wonders show how it is proud of its past even if it has an eye on the future. The author checks these - and more.

Just a few minutes walk away from Soho is Covent Garden, which boasts of the Heaven Nightclub that can be found underneath Charing Cross railway station in Central London, just off Trafalgar Square.  I will always have fond memories of Heaven, with its three levels of great music and heavenly experiences. The club attracts hetero party goers, which proves that the place appeals to everyone, irrespective of gender identification.  Make sure you visit their website and print out the discounted ticket, otherwise it will cost you close to £10 to get in – OUCH!

A side trip: Located nearby is Fitness First Covent Garden, where most of the Muscle Marys and gorgeous gay lads work out.  So do not forget to take your Fitness First international pass if you want to work out or join in the fun in the locker room.

Just up the road from Heaven is a bar that Asians frequent, great for pre-drinks on the way to the big clubs in Soho.   Always busy and plenty of admirers for pure bred Orientals.  The bar upstairs has been recently refurbished and looks very impressive, and the staff are friendly.  Downstairs is the Green Room, where they have performances and little cubicles if you can’t wait to go home to molest your catch for the night.

For extreme partying, you head to Vauxhall and make sure you do not miss Fire.  Fire is one of is one of London's premiere after-hours nightclubs. It’s Vauxhall's first ever superclub, with new flooring, intelligent lighting, chill-out areas, new DJ positioning, improved sound, and the friendliest door-team south of the river.

Fire and the rest of Vauxhall are on full throttle and heaps of sweaty, naked buffed men.  Unless you are muscly or lean or gorgeous, better stay away from this venue. And if you do go, you go there with a friend or a guy you have chatted online in Gaydar or Gayromeo  just to be on the safe side.   I found it just too full on. Partying lasts until 10 AM, and plenty of sex venues around if things go THAT way the next day.
